About me

I live in Lecce, where I work as a software engineer. Photography is my passion that I pursue with enthusiasm in my free time. I like to take pictures, but I almost never like my photos. I do some ‘Sunday photography’, but I know I will never become a photographer. Instead, I view myself as someone who meticulously studied the camera manual and adeptly operates manual mode to compose shots. Yet, despite my technical proficiency, I grapple with the elusive task of accurately capturing the world’s essence through my lens. Nonetheless, I continue to shoot, hoping that one day I will be able to capture the perfect moment and produce a truly remarkable photograph.

My cameras

Most of my photos are taken with a Canon EOS 550D. The lens I used most is the Tamron SP AF 17 – 50mm F/2.8 but because of its brightness I also use a lot the Canon EF 50 f/1.8

The last pictures were taken with the Leica Q2 with the very bright Summilux 28mm f/1.7 ASPH fixed focal length lens.

Our reaction to a photograph is always a psychological response: we see with our eyes, but it is with our brains that we perceive and we do this selectively, mostly automatically. […]
